Golf Ready - Movement Testing
Are you playing through stiffness, losing distance off the tee, or coming back from a golf-related injury? The Golf Ready program at Physio Care Owen Sound is a comprehensive physical screening designed specifically for golfers who want to understand how their body moves — and where it may be holding their game back.
MAPS MOVEMENT TESTING
In MAPS movement testing, we use advanced technologies—such as 3D infrared sensor cameras and digital dynamometers—to collect actionable, objective data. This data allows us to assess your mobility, agility, posture and balance, and strength by comparing your health metrics to normative standards. We then monitor changes longitudinally to track progress or decline and develop data-driven rehabilitation plans that support and enhance your overall health and well-being.
Chronic Pain Physiotherapy
Chronic pain affects almost 20% of adults in Canada. Chronic pain can significantly affect quality of life – however, it can be managed effectively with physiotherapy.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Also called pelvic floor physiotherapy, is therapy to address the pain & function related to issues originating from or involving the pelvic area. There are a plethora of conditions that can be managed well with physiotherapy.
Breast Cancer Rehab
Breast cancer is the fourth most diagnosed cancer in Grey Bruce. It has the highest incidence rate of all cancers among females, accounting for 25.6% of new diagnoses. There is substantial evidence that physiotherapy for patients with breast cancer can improve their quality of life.
Lymphedema Management
The lymphatic system is an integral part of our circulatory system. Lymphedema is swelling of a body, most often an arm or leg but it may also other parts of the body. Lymphedema can affect your mobility and function but it can be managed well with physiotherapy.
Post-Surgical Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a very important component of your post-surgical rehab to build your strength, mobility and agility in order to enjoy a good quality of life.
Assistive Devices Program
The government provides funding for up to 75% of the cost of assistive devices such as rollators and compression garments for people to manage lymphedema. Physio Care is authorized to assess and complete the application form to access this government funding.
Osteoporosis Focused Physiotherapy/Bonefit
Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much or makes too little bone. Bones become weak & are vulnerable to fracture from a simple fall or minor bumps. Physio Care has a certified Bonefit physiotherapist to help improve your health and well-being.
Fascial Manipulation
The fascial system refers to the three-dimensional continuum of soft, collagen containing fibrous connective tissue that permeates the human body. Fascial Manipulation is an evidence-based treatment for pain relief which involves manual therapy of the myofascial system.
Motor Vehicle Accident Physio
Accident injuries can be very stressful to deal with. Not only do you have to worry about car repairs, but also about addressing the injuries that you have sustained. We focus on 1 on 1 individualized physiotherapy services to help you recover to your pre-injury status.
PreNatal & Post Natal Physio
