What our clients say
What is TeleHealth?
Telehealth, as the name suggests, enables us to provide remote delivery of health care services. We can address your pain and dysfunction without the need to meet in person.
Under the given circumstances, with extensive social distancing norms in place to combat COVID, Telehealth gives us a fantastic platform to connect us in order to address your pain and dysfunction.
We use a secure online platform called “Jane app” which is in compliance with the regulatory norms to protect your privacy and confidentiality. Using this “skype-style” video conferencing method, we will be able to:
- Assess your injury and provide you treatment methods.
- Monitor and suggest progression of exercises.
- Provide ergonomic strategies and more.
- Use Any Device; Laptop, Phone, or Tablet.
- Provide direct billing to most insurance plans.
Thank you for choosing Physio Care to address your health concerns.
Physiotherapy is the treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapists study the science of movement. They learn how to pinpoint an injury’s root causes and help you through physical rehabilitation and injury prevention. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery. Think about getting physiotherapy if you have an injury or chronic pain that affects how you function every day.

quick intro to our owen sound physiotherapy services
Chronic Pain Physiotherapy
Chronic pain can be very debilitating and affects almost 20% of adults in Canada. Chronic pain can significantly affect quality of life. However it can be managed effectively with physiotherapy using manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, exercises and ergonomic strategies.
Post Surgical Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a very important component of your post-surgical rehab. We follow the rehab protocols of renowned institutions like the Kennedy Fowler Institute, London, ON; coupled with 1 on 1 focussed therapy, we will work with you to build your strength, mobility, and agility to restore your function and improve your quality of life.
The Lymphatic system is a very integral part of our circulatory system. Lymphedema is the swelling of parts of the body, due to a dysfunction in the lymphatic system.
“Combined Decongestive Therapy” (CDT) is an effective evidence-based conservative management for Lymphedema that we use in our practice. CDT involves a combination of manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercises, skincare, and self-management.
Breast Cancer Rehab
Breast cancer has one of the highest incidence rate of all cancers among women. Breast cancer survivors often go through significant pain and dysfunction affecting their quality of life. Physiotherapy rehabilitation based on manual therapy, exercises, and appropriate use of modalities could help to decrease pain, improve function, and restore the quality of life.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic health physiotherapy involves the management of conditions arising due to dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles. The goal of pelvic health physiotherapy is to improve pelvic floor function through exercises, lifestyle modifications, education, and hands-on treatment to decrease and eliminate your symptoms related to urinary, bowel, and sexual function.
Assistive Devices Program
The government provides funding for up to 75% of the cost of assistive devices such as rollators and compression garments for people to manage lymphedema. We at Physio Care are authorized to assess and complete the application form to access this government funding. We will assist you with completing the assessment and applying for this government funding.
Osteoporosis Focused Physiotherapy/Bonefit
Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and are vulnerable to fracture from a simple fall or in serious cases even from sneezing or minor bumps. Here at Physio Care we have a certified BonefitTM physiotherapist to teach you exercises and strategies to improve your health and well-being.
The fascial system refers to the three dimensional
continuum of soft, collagen containing, loose and dense fibrous connective tissue that permeates the human body. Fascial Manipulation (FM) is an evidence-based treatment for pain relief which involves manual therapy of the myofascial system. This method was founded by a physiotherapist Luigi Stecco from Italy.
